While releasing the audio cassette of Chandramukhi on March 5, 2005, said she was a fan of P. Susheela. At the function, Asha Bhosle sang some Tamil songs of P. Susheela whom she refered as Lata Mangeshkar of the South.

Asha Bhosle bowled the audience over with her rendering of the song she sang for Amardeep and some Tamil songs of P Susheela, whom she called the Lata Mangeshkar of the South. She sang few lines of "yaar yaar yaar aval yaaro", "athan ennathan" and "paalirukkum pazhamirukkum". Here is a link for details.
