A nice PS solo from the very ordinary MGR movie. The song comes for an interesting situation. Rich girl Jeyalalitha gets married to poor man MGR, she comes to MGR's home where his brother & family (Ashokan, Sowcar J, kid) also live. It is the nuptial night for MGR&J and the doors are closed from outside. Everyone has gone to sleep and the kid who is sleeping in the next room starts crying. There is no one to attend since everyone is fast asleep. J & MGR are unable to come out since the door has been locked from outside. This prompts J to start the thaalaattu song from her room to the kid through the window. Kannadhasan has penned very nice lyrics and as usual PS delivers the song conveying great affection!
